Life On A Farm

People that hear a person lives and runs a farm usually think all the farmers do is get up to milk cows, feed chickens, and throw out hay to their horses. That is far from what living on and operating a farm consists of. The farm life is probably one of the hardest and frustrating jobs a person can have.

Farmers must follow strict federal laws in order to be a successful operation and if the rules are broken The Department of Agriculture has strict consequences to hand out. Farmer life holds many obligations that others do not even think of such as placing certain foods in different areas for the many types of animals. A farmer has to know what animal cannot be around another and accommodate that by building different fenced areas around their farm. There also are rules to follow with the treatment of farm animals because if they do not have proper treatment it can lead to harsh consequences. Machinery and tools must be well maintained and up to standards of operating correctly. The equipment on a farm must be operational or it could result in farmers not being able to harvest as planned.

Farmers usually run a farm as their source of income so they do rely on the weathers cooperation. Unexpected climate changes may result in crops getting unexpected damages and this hurts their source of income. Farmers do not have it easy and often times this can be a very sad event that requires help from around their community for the unexpected.
