Style of the West

Style in the Unites States of America has always been diverse and often eclectic. A melting pot of cultures and religion, America is home to many different kinds of people with as many ways of life. Of course, our country is as progressive as it is diverse, so our style and culture often merges into more liberal and technologically combined world. However, the Western United States has always been known for its cowboy culture, and traditionally, rodeos, ranches, and the open range prevail.

Although the days of wagon trains and using cattle to plough the fields may be long gone, the West still holds much of its traditions and lifestyles. It is normal to find large horse and cattle ranches peppered throughout the countryside in States like Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas. Rodeos are held annually throughout the west, and their appeal remains strong to both ranch types as well as city folk. As cultures change and grow in the US, some things stay tried and true. Horses are one of them.

Horses are widely acclaimed for their beauty, strength, and the romance that comes with them. In the west, they are revered in the ranch circuit. Although, technology has largely replaced the use of horses, they are still a staple to ranches and farms all over the country side. They claim a large part of the Western US heritage and still contribute a great deal to the style and culture of our pacific states. The prairie and mountain ranching lifestyles still resonate in western wear and traditional tack. The days of cowboys and Indians may have passed, but in their historical cultural contribution remains active today.
