Modern Day Cowgirl

Cowgirls are not just women of the Wild West. There are cowgirls all over the world. What makes a girl a cowgirl? Well, that is a matter of opinion.

Wanting to be a cowgirl is one thing, but being one is another. Cowgirls are relatively rare these days. If you haven't been riding all your life, don’t sell yourself short. Go to the store, get some wrangler jeans, a rodeo belt, a couple western shirts and boots. Don't forget the cowgirl hat, now hop on the saddle and get to riding.

Modern day cowgirls are cool, calm, and collective. Cowgirls are not afraid to show the boys up. Many girls have been riding for years and years, but that does not mean that you can't be just as good. No one said it is going to be easy. Being a cowgirl is a lot of work. You need to ride for at least an hour to two hours a day.

If you are not caught up to speed on how to ride horses, there are cowgirl camps to attend, whether you have been a cowgirl since you were a little girl, or just decided to be one. Remember to be true to yourself. Cowgirls are always true to their hearts, and become best friends with their horses.

Remember to stay focused and keep riding. You are only as good as you allow yourself to be. Never let anyone tell you that you can't be a cowgirl.
