Life in The Western US

With its diversity, opportunity, and beauty, America seems to have something to offer for everyone, and those who are fortunate enough to live in the Western States can tell you they would live nowhere else. Once considered the Wild West or the Great Frontier, the states encompassing the American West, such as Wyoming, Washington, and Montana, offer a land rich with history as they are deeply embedded in our country's folklore.

But what is it like to live in the west? The definition of the west has changed over time as the United States expanded, and is the largest geographic region in the country. Whether you live in the Mountain States or the Pacific Northwest, life here boasts the best of both worlds. The west offers the vast beauty of the Ocean, as well as the grand mountains of the Rockies. Outdoor lovers can find no place better than the open wilderness the great west offers. Hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and just about any outdoor activity you can imagine can be found here.

Residents of the western states enjoy bountiful seasons full of wildlife as well as winters in areas that provide some of the world's best skiing resorts. Living the cowboy life is part of the norm in the west, even today. Horses and cattle are still a normal part of life as ranches are widespread through this part of the country. Life in the west isn’t as hard as it once was, and residents here can appreciate and enjoy what the land still offers, as well as take pride in the fact that although settled, we can still experience and untouched wilderness.
